Scupper Boxes
Also known as collector box or leader head, they connect a flat roof's scupper to a downspout or gutter. All of our scupper boxes have a large 3x4 outlet to ensure that it is harder for debris to get caught. With the exception of large commercial boxes or expensive copper ones, all of our scupper boxes are made from aluminum to ensure that they have a long life and don't rust out.
Here you can see a typical install of two scuppers on a back patio. This client had good positive grade for drainage on the side of his house. So we moved the water from the interior scupper box over to the corner and emptied both to the side using a 3x4 downspout.
These beautiful copper boxes were custom made in our sheet metal shop to be about 1/3 larger than the typical scupper box. The installation of copper is different than aluminum given the weight and oxidation qualities. Copper gutter usually costs 2.5 to 3 times more than aluminum. The performance is the same, the only difference is aesthetics.
Downspouts
Here you can see a 3x4 Aluminum downspout utilizing a 2 inch offset to cleanly adjust to a stucco pop-out that is a typical feature on Green Valley and Sahuarita stucco homes.
